Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB)
The Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) is a monthly payment that helps eligible families in British Columbia reduce the cost of childcare. The amount you receive depends on factors such as your income, family size, and the type of care your child is enrolled in. Families must apply for this benefit, and once approved, payments are sent directly to your childcare provider to lower your monthly fees.
Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI)
The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) helps lower childcare fees for families across British Columbia. If your childcare provider participates in this program, the fee reduction is applied automatically—no application is required. Unlike the ACCB, families do not need to apply or meet income eligibility requirements to receive this reduction, making childcare costs lower right away.
